Hey Brett Chad here, I got a question for ya…
What in your opinion is the best WordPress plug-in for email opt-in forms to capture name and emails via comments, pop-up and sidebar functions.
I think there’s is a few plug-ins out there that have these features. I think there’s even one that adds a banner at the bottom of your blog…not sure what it was called though.

So, here is My question:
I just can’t seem to keep people on my list. It seems most of them are Freebie Seekers, and once I start sending out emails with content, promotions, or other free items, they seem to unsubscribe.
What should I do to help keep people on my list?

I know what you are going thew I had the same problem with my site, so what I did is change how I give out free stuff. Now when people come to my site, they have to sign on at lease 1 year to get free stuff from my site if they unsubscribe they will be charge the cost of membership for that year. Yes they have to sign a agreement that understand this, I only want the ones that are going to be real about there internet marketing. You have to get the tire kickers out so the people that really want what you are offering can get in and become a real member. Ron

@Chad there are two that I know of that work well. One is called CodeBanteroptin plugin and the other is made by Maxblogpress. They both work well. Just a side note. If you use Aweber you can insert a code generated by Aweber for creating pop-in/pop-over/pop-under and a couple of other options.
All you have to do is past in into the footer of your blog. Hope that helps.

Yes one thing you have to improve here is to make your sites url clickable after you post your blog.It works in the classified section but not in the blog section yet.

Awesome site! Thanks for putting this all together.
I’d like to know more about email open rates – what is considered good or acceptable? I’m just starting to build my list now with 30 opt-in subscribers so far. My open rate averages between 30-40% which I would prefer to be higher. However, I’m guessing that some of these subscribers are going directly to my blog as they know I post daily. (that’s what my wife tells me she does)
BTW – I’m using AWeber.

I recently got hacked on one of my “Joomla” sites and it was absolutely hell to get it fixed up again. At first I felt very bad but then I saw that Ewen Chia’s Super Affiliate Site was Hacked by the same crowd and that made me feel much better.
My question is Brett, what would be the best way to secure my websites from hackers?

Love the site…
Although I cannot upload any videos from my PC as there is no button to click on…Just the YouTube option.
It tells me to click on the “Browse Button” but there isn’t one that I can see. Just though that I’d let you know.
On another not we have had quite a few of our members at http://www.incomebees.com as us if we could a quick launch button to our FREE Web 2.0 Toolbar so that they can access both the IncomeBees Web 2.0 Social Network and the Marketing Mastermind Social Network.
Being the good people we are and knowing that it will benefit hundreds of people we have done just that and added a link to the Marketing Mastermind directly to the main app. Not several links deep…but directly.
We have designed our Web 2.0 Toolbar to work with the following configs.
Win XP, Vista, OSX, Leopard, Linux
Safari, Firefox and IE (all current releases)
And it can be run on a MAC or a PC
Anyway just thought you might like to look over it. I hope it helps the community.
PS: I was going to be one of your Mastermind team originally but it just seems that with all the development lately on my own sites I never got back to you. Sorry about that.

I have no interest in starting a business, that’s why I retired from the last one. But I do like earning extra money, so I started my Un-Business. I would like to use a product like Hot Conference for training friends that need help, but without a business to support the cost of several rooms when I only need one occasionally is a monthly expense I would rather not bear alone. Is there a co-op group or community that offers the use of such a resource at a low cost?

Marketing Mastermind … Wow!
I’ve never been so impressed with the quality of a social network for “inter”network marketers. The site rocks! The membership list is impressive and is attracting serious attention by true viral marketers. You have hit a home run with this one.
The last recession (early 90s) had a serious negative impact on my more traditional and award winning promotional advertising business at that time. So much so that I left that industry and jumped onto the Internet bandwagon (a small slow moving wagon at that time).
How do you see the next year or two in the Internet Marketing industry? Besides the obvious downturn in the economy, which is affecting just about every business sector, will we see “a sorting of the wheat from the chaff” through the maturing of IM into an even more acceptable and traditional media for marketing, retail, and credible information?
The Marketing Mastermind membership seems to be literally more mature in age and experience than I have seen in other networks and forums. The addition of “newbies” to the mix brings the diversification that inspires the “veterans” and experienced members to contribute, educate, and learn themselves in return.
BTW, “Newbies” is a term that I find non-inspiring and not worthy of budding entrepreneurs. I think “apprentice” would be more suitable. All trades have apprentices, so why not in this industry also? Let’s upscale the professionalism!

My question to you Brett is simply this. I have been involved in motivational work for as good deal of my time online. Is my Radiostation one of a kind or am I trying to reinvent the wheel. What is am doing it combining internet marking with Motivation. I believe marketers need to be able to get input and if coupled with motivation I think it is unique.

I know you are aware that I am a member of Marketing Mastermind and you did well to make me to know that this “masterpiece” is from Trafficpython. You know, I like TrafficPython, but I am not financially well equipped to follow. I have been struggling to collaborate with Marketing Mastermind, but due to lots of other business lines being proposed to me, I am just confused. What do I do to succeed when my mail box is full of proposals that make me to become confused? How do I avoid them, especially when I realise that I have paid a lot of money to some that are not giving me satisfaction?
