I Wrote This Marketing Blueprint For You…

February 17th, 2009

I’ve never done this before, but I had no choice…

I’ve been marketing on the Internet since 2005, and I see so many people struggling but NO ONE is talking about the real reason why (and the solution).

I admit it, I’m guilty too…

I have never really shared my thoughts on this either…until now. I’ve been so “busy” with all of my marketing stuff that I didn’t take the time to really help you.

But ALL of that is changing…

I started out in marketing to help others build successful businesses and break away from their jobs, so they can live their dream lives. And some of my products have helped. But I can help you a LOT more…

And I’m going to prove it to you.

There is a hidden flaw in Internet marketing, and I spent a lot of time writing a report that details it and the best way to overcome it. It’s called the Internet Marketing Implementation Blueprint, and you can download and read it without even entering your email address. Just go to:

http://www.thinkbigpublications.com/internet-marketing-blueprint.html

Click the link to download it instantly–no opt-in required.

You will see my bigger plan to help you when you read it–and there is no cost for any of it. All I ask is a simple favor–please share your thoughts on the Blueprint with me. I am working on 2 more which I think are even more important, and I want to know your thoughts on this one…

You can post to my blog at http://www.thinkbigpublications.com in the “Blueprints” category.

    Hi Brett,

Your blueprint is clear and concise and aids me in looking at my web presence and my internet business and thinking and planning where I want to go with it. Up till now, I have been basically studying and collecting and not really having a overall game plan.

    thanks,

    Hi Brett,
I didn’t even have to finish reading the 1st paragraph to know how well connected it is to my life; that it was my own story being told out here.
I’m on the outside, looking in, desperate to unveil the secrets, burnt on my journey in the very beginning, but still hanging on and trying to find the “missing piece”; frustrated and no closer to my dream. Secrecy about it all since my family and friends would mock me if I told them.
the concept of knowledge-application transfer gap really is the #1 reason for failure and is the same for my case too. knowledge is present everywhere and is mostly freely available or easily attainable. Application on the other hand is not.
The ideas about “Bridging the gap” and “Action-Feedback-Acuity Loop” are simply amazing and very important.
This e-book is a must read for every struggling online marketer and provides the right inspiration, tools and knowledge to become focused and succeed.
A very well written and clearly compiled source of valuable information.
I thank you for providing this e-book to the newbies like me.

    Regards.

Don’t quite know where to begin. “Guess I’m at the same coordinates you found yourself at( as described in your “Blueprint.”) I’ve carefully read the words in an attempt to see myself in the matrix of opportunity and responsibility that you’ve exuded. Can’t rightly say that I’m not about as “guilty” of some of the mistakes and downright despair and frustration you elude to. In simple terms, I frankly hope that you are all you say you are and that, your experience, teachings and techniques prove to be the balm they seem to be. As in all endeavors in life, assuming one properly implements your “blueprint”, of course, I’d like to believe that this is the “flashlight” one needs to effectively work their way through to–”the light at the end of the proverbial tunnel!” A gold star for being right on the money! Take it from a retired pilot, your efforts are, indeed, a “patch of blue!” (- a safe haven for us fly boys!) Best regards in your trek to the “light!” Rick

    Hi Brett,
I must say I am much like those before me. Only I am in the process this week of trying to start something. I have studied this and become overwhelmed for 18 months now. But I took this week off from my job to try and take a small action and get something ready for the giveaways coming and I am behind for one. But this is my vacation and so I am taking one step at a time, finish the ebook tonight and do keyword research and pick a url, then email the hosting company I have, use software I have to create a opt-in page, work on a sales letter, find some templates so I have graphics etc. My first step was open a business account at a local bank. Getting a business account at PayPal should be a lot easier. At work I am trying to send unemployed people back to school although we are waiting for more funding. So I am trying something like this for those looking desperately to the Internet as a way out of their immediate financial crises. I do believe that to stay in the Internet Marketing arena is not smart with the saturation, and after awhile you feel like you are taking advantage of people if you stay here. I just want to warn people away from some of the mistakes I made, make sure they spend only what they can afford to, and still give them free places to learn. But with the knowledge gap you might really be onto something. I got Frank Kern’s Infomillionaire and I think I could have taken those steps on my own, but seeing them in print, knowing I could do the few steps necessary and see what happens and like you said grow and get it right as you go along. Well, you had a lot of wisdom there and I might ask if I can quote a bit of it, link to your report. Now I need to get back to writing and forget reading email again. Bless you for reaching out to help.

I just read your Bluprint and I have to say you have hit the nail on the head, (at least for me).
I felt you were looking over my shoulder. I’ve tried so many “sure -fire” schemes and they have all failed. I’ve spent many dollars and lots of time but it always comes down to: “just send this to your list”. Unfortunately I don’t have a list and I’ve tried using those “we’ll send your ad to 60 zillion subscribers” and I still don’t have a single one.
I’m here to thank you for what you are doing, not just for me, but also, for everyone else
    THANK YOU,
    Jim

    What an excellent report!!
In fact when I started reading the report I could not stop until I finished. I felt like you were actually describing me in your report. The differences are that I am still struggling in my internet business after two years, I have spent more money than what you spent initially (by 5 times) and I am yet to experience the breakthrough.
I hope to work with you in future to help grow my internet business to the highest level possible.
    Thank you.

    Brett,

Your story is the story of each of us when we began. The difference is only a handful of us make the transition to earning a living or better online, while so many quit just before they “make it” and then blame it on the business.

What you have so admirably done in the Blueprint is give those people not just hope but a direction, a compass to guide them through the transition phase.

And you clearly shown that it is not their fault or the fault of Internet Marketing, it’s just that they did not understand the process before now.

Your blueprint clearly defines the process.

Thanks for being so open about your own beginnings.

Thank you for making me feel not so alone.

You have described what I have been going through the last few months (cough, cough years). I really needed a reality check, as I will be very upset, frustrated and disappointed if I am still where I am now in a years time.

Actually I wrote an article recently about how people should look to real people, who are a few steps ahead of them for advice, and not gurus as they are light years ahead and have forgotten the first few steps that newbies need to take. But you do write it in a more succinct and viable way, if I do say so myself.

I am tired of buying all those information products, and my mind is full of great marketing knowledge and ideas. Oh so many ideas, but I’m not very good at finding time implementing and sticking to them. I have so many half completed projects and ones I want to start. I have to bite the bullet and pick one and stick with it.

Those milestones, mini goals and actions everyday will become my mantra. I will start making milestones for myself and join Marketing Mastermind right away. Not tomorrow, as tomorrow never arrives, but now.

Once again thank you Brett, for a much needed kick up the &*%£!

    Hi Brett,

I just finished reading your blueprint. I must say that it was insightful.

I want to start with what I didn’t like about it. It seems that every sales page you go to has a tremendous list of testimonials. I don’t really feel that they were needed inside your blueprint. I don’t even read testimonials anymore as they are so common place and they wouldn’t be posted if they weren’t giving a rave review of how the product helped them.

When I get to the testimonials on a sales page that is the point that I start scrolling to look for the price. I realize that I could miss valuable information that could sway my decision on purchasing but that is just what I do. (I feel kind of silly sitting here giving my opinion to you when I am still waiting for my first sale.)

With that out of the way, I enjoyed your videos and the second one helped a lot as I am planning my second product(actually third, I am in process with my second e book for an opt in gift) anyway, I digress. My second product for sale will be a niche product which I have not seen any in clickbank for.

Keyword search shows around 11 million pages the first couple of which are adsense blogs so I think I could do ok with this one as I have 20 years experience in this particular field.

You demonstrated to me, with your blueprint an ability to get your idea across in a way that is understandable which is a much needed thing in the IM niche. I will also be taking advantage of the links inside your blueprint as I have been struggling to get traffic to my sales page and don’t have the resources for a ppc campaign at this time.

I thank you for the blueprint, I will read it again and again as needed to give clarity to what I am trying to accomplish.

To your success, and mine too :)

Wanted to give you my comments on your blueprint. I have had an internet company for going on 6 years now. I most liked the story about how you almost quit when your thumb drive was stolen from your car. I had a similar incident happen to me when my laptop was stolen with a ton of my business information on it. I wanted to quit and cry at the same time, but the lesson I learned was that you never give up and if you want it bad enough you fight through it and weather the storm.

    Thanks for the blueprint!

I got highly excited as I read this report. The reason is because it’s something I’ve wanted someone to “fess up to” for a long time.

Most people when they hit the internet marketing world feel everything that you’ve mentioned in this report. They go through the doubts and the fears, and then they hit what I call Information Paralysis where they know so much but they are scared to use it, or just don’t know HOW to use it.

The “Gap” is a great term for what people go through in the learning process and I love the example you used of Wolfgang or Emeril giving a recipe and the fact that “gurus” sell their “recipes” every day and we as “students” expect to duplicate their recipe to their exact standards is a ludicrous thought but I admit I was the exact same way and still am to a certain extent.

I only wish that I had only spent 4 months and $4k learning.. I actually spent 5 years and over $30k in the “learning” process before I figured out I had to put ACTION into that learning process.

The story about your losing your “business” on your flash drive was inspiring! I actually lost my entire “business” in a hack job done to my blog in December of 2007.

I was deep into Firefighter training and hadn’t been backing up my database like I was suppose to and all of a sudden one day my blog said.. “ha ha you’ve been hacked”.. basically.. and my entire blog database, my email list, and my entire business was GONE!

I literally packed it up and didn’t even touch my computer again till July of 2008 when I finally started my business back up.

I’m now still in the infancy of my rebuild but it’s like you said… I had literally given up thinking that the “higher power” was telling me to finally give up after 9 years of struggling to finally “make it” online… but, I guess I’m either too stubborn or too determined (depending on who you ask) to quit.

Thank you Brett for sharing this enlightening report that is a must read in my opinion!

    Hi Brett,

It amazes me how many “Internet Marketers” are out there on the Web. It seems like everyone and their brother is “Trying” to do it. One thing I notice though, about 80% to 90% are just regergating someone elses product, site, ebook, videos or Big launch. I’m sure you see it too. But what I don’t see as much of, is the life changers. The ones that see the “Industry” for what it really is, That people Desire to BE heard, seen and understood.

Brett, I say, you get it! So many of us probably get 20 to 100 emails everyday, explaining how THIS will change your life. I took time today to dig deep into your upcomeing launch. I read the Marketing blueprint and actually took out the notepad and wrote down what is important to me. You explained what information overload does to so many of us starting out. We spend hours and hours downloading and reading about what works and what doesn’t work. You explained that simplistic is relavant. It really is helping me to “Focus” again, back on the smaller to reach the bigger and that makes sense. If we just make one small step to advance our goal. For some of us it is just learning HTML so we can start a webpage. For others, it might be building VRE hubsites with different ISP addresses.

Reality is you woke me up from the gathering of information and downloading stuff. Reality is I need to write down a clear goal and break down that goal to a simplier goal. Then take those simplier goals and write down a plan and a time to reach that. I haven’t opened the “Compass” yet, but I have miny goal for tonight.

Brett, I hope your project launch is successful. You said in your email that a person can win membership. I would like to ask to be included, because if it is anything like your Blueprint, it will bring the Focus Back. I really am looking to help people in my market, just as you are doing.

    Sincerely,

    Chase

    Hi Brett,
Thanks for the easy to read and digest ebook.

Glad I read it as I totaly forgot to back up my files, which I’m going to do after I post this :) .

I’ve just started full-time in internet business and am in the alternative health niche. My online involvement has been since end 2005, when I started with a web bookstore. Did that for 1 year and lost my domain name because the renewal notice was sent to my old email (see the importance of updating email address). I failed this test because I moved on to other things, including blogging but still not making serious money.

Now I’m in full time and have to make this work. Failure is not an option. I agree that the major problem is the Gap. Getting stuck and figuring out what needs to be done next.

Of course the biggest issue I face now is how to build a list. Can be very frustrating…

As you described your journey learning internet marketing, all I can say is “I feel your pain!” If you made all that up, then you need to get started on the great American novel or other great work of fiction.

But thanks for sharing! Even though I’ve been trying to make this work longer than I care to admit, I was inspired by what you wrote. I also got a couple of ideas to pursue.

Wow Brett, what you say in the Blueprint is me and my struggle. I have been looking for the answer for too many months now and have the dreaded “information overload syndrome” that has left me dazed and confused not knowing where to start or even how to get started without losing my investment to stupid mistakes until I get the experience factor built up.
What you say inspires me to start with some action to begin (I need to post the “Compass chart” right over my desk for inspiration) and get my first site and product on line and use the compass to push me ahead one step at a time, reviewing it weekly to be sure I stay on track.
Wise words you have written and hopefully the thing I need to move forward.
    Thanks, Thomas

    Brett …

I’m sorry if I can’t give a flowing testimonial as to how much your writing fits my experiences. The truth is, it doesn’t. I started doing research on internet marketing back in the late 90′s. I didn’t buy thousands of dollars in junk. I didn’t waste years trying this or that. I researched. Fortunately, that’s what I’m good at.

In May 2004 I left the job that I actually loved doing and went totally full time online. I did it without an opt-in page and huge subscriber list. So, you see, I don’t fit in the same group as you refer to in your writing.

Unfortunately, I also don’t consider your ebook a blueprint at all. It’s a statement of a few facts which are well put together to lead those who read it exactly where you want them to go. Although I do agree that it isn’t a salespage, I do consider it a very cleverly constructed marketing tool that you have created for a specific purpose. You’ve even included a viral aspect. Well done.

I do agree that the information included is correct. However, your suggestion is only part of one of many ways to become a successful businessperson online. I do consider it lacking when referenced to being an actual blueprint.

Sorry this isn’t as positive as you would have liked, but I call it as I see it.

All is not lost though … If everyone will look at what you have done with this and attempt to figure out where you’re leading … they will learn a very valuable marketing lesson.

Brett, your blueprint is the clearest picture of an internet marketer I have heard or read. I have been trying to get my business going for over a year. As I read your blueprint I asked myself does he know me? I could actually for the first time see what I have been doing off and on for the past year. If you could see the amount of files I have gathered!! And I bet there are only a hand full that I have figured out how to use or implement. I have had many experiances with those guro’s that can not explain even how to set up a campaign in an autoresponder or did NOT want to take the time. Some times the most simple task for me can seem like the biggest mountain I have ever seen.
After reading your blueprint my goals are much clearer to me. I was at a point that everything I did I questioned and after this artical I finally can say I now what my next step will be. I want you to know, that for the first time, I can confidently say I have a clear plan.
Anyone that is or has been trying to make a living on the internet needs to have your blueprint. EXCELLENT WORK!! The BEST information I have found so far!! You just do not know how much this has helped me.

    Thank You!

    Hi Brett,

You have opened my eyes to something that I really already knew but was, I guess just stuck on the info overload area.

You mention taking action and building experiences to build the personal knowledge base. This is very true. I use it in my offline job everyday, but for some reason I have failed to use it on building my online business. It is like you just turned on a light and showed me what I was over looking.

Just take action and start small and build the small successes and the apply the new learned skills to another little bit bigger goal. As you put it learn to stand first then look to walking, and then go on to bigger things. You are so very right. We can all succeed if we really want it bad enough to just start. Well, I have no excuse for not starting now. Thank you

    Hi Brett!

Hope this is the right place to submit a comment.
You’ve been reading my mail bro.

After countless “explorations” (buying products) into what it takes to succeed at IM I’ve come to the conclusion as you did on pg 15 of your Blueprint that the most important milestone is focusing on what it takes to START the IM process.

I like your model of “take action and work with the results”. All baby steps to BEGINNING the IM process. That’s where I’m at and finally taking action; I feel that much closer to making my first dollar online.

Needed an AR; got a free one with no ads and good reviews.

I’ll start by promoting affiliate products, but I need to have a way to present my offer to sign up on mailing list. Just decided on Mike Cowels product and will see if I can actually get this to work for me (the techno-challenged.)

And that’s where I’m at today and I’m clearer than I’ve been in years of Info overload. (I’d have been learning Mike’s software today but a lifetime membership in Autolistbuilder was just too tempting.)

Even if I don’t “win” your site looks like a good resource for future input.

    WOW.

I just had to look around and see if you were looking over my shoulder!

I have been trying and trying to get established for over 4 years, doing what this ‘guru’ said or buying the latest and greatest ‘product’ or ‘service.’

    Now I am nowhere.

I wasn’t going to even take a look at the “Internet Marketing Implementation Blueprint” as I thought it would just be some fluff to get me to buy yet another product or service.

I have ideas, I have technical know-how (I am a web/windows developer) but just keep going after the moving target.

The Internet Marketing Implementation Blueprint is a like a slap to the head. KISS. Keep It Simple, Silly =P

I was reading it and got that Homer Simpson ‘DOH!’ moment.

But when I got near the end and you talked about some resources I was like WOW, there is even more free resources to get me on track and moving forward.

So, I am making a plan to work thru the compass and focus on the next step that will get me to my goal as opposed to juggling everything at once.

One step at a time, and they all add up!

Thanks again for the Internet Marketing Implementation Blueprint and I look forward to your next one (and the next one and the next one) =)

BRAVO BRETT!!!!i just read your blueprint and i have to say you nailed it perfectly its like you are a fly on my wall so many downloads from free to paid for and i still do not know where to start yet your theory of th gap is 100% correct and i never thought about the higher level of marketers info we all buy if they are more expensive the bigger the gap!! i never thought of it that way so what i think many many of us newbie wanna bes need is a baby step program to start with. now i know there is alot of good stuff out there but its like i am a addict for all this info but yet still deathly close to foreclosure and bankruptcy so i except that and still dream big. the cycle of learning and cycle of buying become one and it then becomes the cycle of ignorance so that we have to say PLEASE STOP THE INSANITY!! i dream for the first profitability then will seek consistency after that. any way i digress just wanted to say i hope and pray for a shot at your contest as you are right on with your down to earth and concern for all of us newbies. keep up the good work..jerome (a.k.a RenegadeRedneck)

    Hi Brett,

Thanks for the trip down the internet marketing memory lane. We all go through it and we all spend way too much money and we all keep trying but only a few seem to make it big!

Why in an industry where there is so much apparent help being given by all the ebooks, courses, webinars, gurus and coaches ( I get 2 – 4 calls every week from someone wanting to be my mentor or coach and tons of the “Next Big Thing” offers everyday in my email ) why do so many fail to succeed?

Frank Kern had over 55,000 people eye balling his Mass Control 2.0 .. he only had 2500 products and 500 seats at the Fr*ee seminar to sell.

Are there that many people interested in Internet Marketing? How many people were just getting sucked into his marketing message and how many were actually watching and learning as a “master internet marketer worked his Mass Control” ..

You don’t need to buy what they sell .. just learn from what they do!

    and then do it yourself.

But there really is nobody else like Frank !

Why do so many of us buy Internet Marketing stuff and do nothing with it ?? I think it’s like 3% that actually use the product or impliment the strategy they just purchased. Do hopeful Internet Marketers always get distracted by the next BIG thing or are we a community of many starters.. and only a few finishers.

The realtiy is, as you talk about in your report and Alex Jeffreys mentioned last night on a coaching call of his – “to succeed at Internet Marketing is not really hard – but it is difficult”

And anyone who says there is no W O R K involved is selling you pixie dust!

Internet Marketing success is not rocket science but you do have to keep your eye on your own rocket and keep it headed in the right direction toward your success. Your rocket, unfortunately moves slowly and if you keep refuelling it by adding in the many diverse parts you need to fit together in the Internet Marketing puzzle – you will with perseverence arrive at your destination.

Then you too can have people buying your stuff every time you push a certian button or while you sleep: it is a beautiful thing and it all happens because you have connected with those customers over the long term …

    ( here’s the little secret: long term committment + w o r k = Internet Success )

    - as Mark Hendricks says “do the work once and get paid forever” . He is living proof just like you are Brett.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts and giving direction in the Blueprint.. you are right on about the GAP being the major hurdle for IM Success. There was certainly no GAP in the information you provided.

Here is a couple of phrases I stole somewhere a couple of months ago and have been using and trying to live by:

    (1) IMPLIMENTATION is EVERYTHING

    and MONEY FOLLOWS ACTION !

(2)In Internet Marketing LISTBUILDING is not an option.

You have put together a well-written and useful document that is easy to read and comprehend.

Much of the literature that I receive in my inbox is sloppily written, contain a lot of fluff, and the sentences are not constructed very well. Your manuscript is different, and I did not find any real typos within the 20 pages.

I have been slowly building and maintaining my websites as I have had the time. Income was never a need, nor was I concerned about it. A little has trickled in now and then. I am ready now to increase the marketing efforts and your Blueprint has just given me the push that I needed to get going.

You explained quite clearly what is the missing ingredient that makes success elusive. I am going to ThingBig, follow your advice and establish goals, identify key business drivers and set definitive milestones. My first step will be to insert a webform to ask my visitors to register. My ISP service includes an autoresponder so implementation will be really quick.

Up until now, I have relied on RSS feeds to alert regular readers on updates to my sites. With the addition of a mailing list, I’ll be able to communicate more effectively with potentially more meaningful feedback.

    Hello Brett,

I get a lot of email with all sorts of offers. Iusually just hit the delete botton. But I joined The List Auction and thought it only fair ro read some of the members emails since I hope other would reciprocate. Anyway, this particular email talked about My Automatic List. The description and it’s benefits sounded enticing. Then I read further and there was a challenge of sorts. If downloaded and read your Internet Marketing Implementation Blueprint, and made a comment on your blog I would have a chance to win a lifetime membership. Of course I do not expect to win since I’ve never won anything in my life, I jsut found it interesting that someone would make that offer simply to get people to read a report (and get the elusive email address). So I downloaded it and began to read. Most often I scan through these rports because quite frankly they are tired and boring. But something different happened as I began to read your report. For the first time in my online history I left as if someone actually got it right. I mean as you were discribing your beginings into IM I actually got goose bumps because it was my story. From the enthusiam about starting an online business, to the manic research, to the spending of money I did not have, to the almost walking away. Well I actually did walk away for a couple of months but came back. I also have my wife and inlaws telling me that it’s time to give it up. My wife thinks that everything on line is a simple qet rich quick scham and will not even read material I get excited about. So yes, I am alone in my home office 24/7 trying to find “the one”. I feel like a mole since I rarely socialize, except online, for fear of missing “the one”. You know, the one that is going to make me rich and redeem myself before my wife and kids. I will continue to follow you. I have joined your forum, signed up on your blog and am on the early notification list for My Automatic List. I will be at your site bright and early to observe. I’m telling you right now, I have no money so will not be making a purchase. I’m one od those that President Obama must bail out. But I just wanted you to know, to hear my story and to thank you.

    Ya’ nailed it Bro’

Your model based on actions and feedback is the true secret to success.

I have been so guilty of falling into “the gap”.

The cost so far for me has been not only that of buying every marketing ebook under the sun, but in terms of leaving money on the table – and it is HUGE!

Thanks, Brett, you have highlighted the biggest flaw in practically every ebook I have read so far!

I read your blueprint. I found it interesting.
I have been collecting internet marketing info for a number of years and to the tune of $40,000 worth of material.
Yet have not made a dime. My wife is convinced that the internet is just one huge money sucking scam.
I know it can be, but I also know it can be a tool to realize your dreams.
I have experienced the GAP first hand and once you pointed it out I realized that that was very true.
After reading some new report or info I find myself even more confused and paralized than before. I start to question my own ability as well as will I ever make a dime on the internet.
Billions are being spend on the internet. Yet I have not made a dime and my debt is growing.
So how do I overcome the GAP and more importantly how do I identify a profitable NICHE as well as create a unique product that people are willing to pay for. Then the ability to create backend products.
I know the lingo and I know what is required. I just do not know how to get started.
That has been my stummbling block.
I found your report interesting and informative. I look forward for the next report so that I can get my business generating income and restore my faith in the internet.
I also know I need to take action. There in lies the problem. Where to start and what to do.
I look forward to more info from you.

    Hi Brett,

I just want to thank you for the publication you issued, the Internet Marketing Implementation Blueprint. It was an enjoybale, informative and insightful read. Terms like “curse of knowledge”, Action-Feedback-Acuity loop” (AFA) and “knowledge-application-transfer gap” are now part of my lexicon.

I believe you raised awareness on a couple of different fronts and it’s true that traditional, mainstream IM does NOT address these issues. It’s far easier to promote some new product that’s tangible than to deal with the far more important intangibles.

Your story about the car break-in was extraordinary. Here you showed at least two of the principles espoused in Napoleon Hill’s classic Think and Grow Rich(TGR): desire and perserverance. You weren’t going to give up on your dreams. You were going to stick with it,
whatever the price. And that’s what’s needed to succeed. That bright burning desire that’s felt deep down to the core and that perserverance that come what may you’re still pushing forward!

Bravo. We all need heroes and a good story from time to time to galvanize our own efforts when we may be down or unfocused.

Your thoughts about people falling in to the trap about taking a long time to learn instead of doing hits the nail on the head too. Ready, fire, aim should be the entrepreneur’s motto. One needs to get out there and take action; there can always be course corrections along the way, just as they do with rocket launches.

Everyone is too absorbed with making mistakes or looking foolish. Some of the greatest entrepreneurs around never experienced success
until AFTER bankruptcy. Edison knew of 10,000 ways NOT to build an incandescent lamp before succeeding.

The more you use the AFA loop the easier it will be to move forward.

The epiphany you describe as the gap explains why so many in network marketing fial. The system is one thing but the person has to have the right qualities to succeed. And that’s not transferable from a guru to the average person.

There’s more I could write but time is a factor.

    Thanks again.

    Hi Brett,

The Blueprint set it clear as to why the beginner gets so frustrated when things are not working, you get excited about a program jump in, not having a clue as to how you will make the sales or get any one to join under you.

Looking back that the promoter of the program and you are in two different worlds. He has a vast amount of experience, and you have limited or none. Explain clearly why you get very limited result because your business does not have any of the building blocks it takes to get results from.

The more you follow the steps in the blueprint the less disappointment you will get from your daily activities as you go about working to build your business.

It refreshing to have someone tell it straight to why you are not able to follow the plan when you get a book that assuming that you know things that have been omitted from the training that being provided.

Thank for showing me that you can have your eyes open to facts in plain sight.

Hi Brett, I’ve just read your Implementation Blueprint and honestly just found it hard going mate. I’m a sufferer and freely admit it from absolute info overload in my efforts to break into internet marketing. I read swathes of stuff on a daily basis from well meaning people who want to help me and in the process promote themselves and their products. I’m not having a go at you personally but after a while the brain started to cloud over and it all seemed to become too heavy going. Much of what you had to say has been said similarly by hundreds of others in their own way and while reading I could not help but get the feeling that I’ve heard all this before – and well I may have (That’s info overload at work).
Anyhow in closing I just want to say that if you have a product or idea you want to promote, (1) be succinct (2) keep it simple and (3) just get your facts across without superfluous words while explaining how it is going to benefit the potential customer. If the product is a good one it will sell.
You obviously know what you are talking about and you hit quite a few nails right square on the head but I personally came away wondering ” why did he ask me to read this again???.
Struggling marketing wannabees like myself and info overload I think is an insidious combination that could do with big heaps more help from the Guru’s that have nailed it so kudos to you because it seemed that is what you were aiming to do.

    Hello Brett.
Great e-book. Very informative. It is a definite motivator to get readers to take the next step.
You include lots of testimonials (including mine) of folks who believe in your mission and have experienced a level of success with your products and websites.

Your Blueprint is a motivator as well. The very fact that you got so many people to share feedback with you, here, proves it.

Your Action-Feedback-Acuity-Loop is a great model. But the key is, this: You need to take action.

You need to take that first step. You cannot be afraid of failure. You will fail. Expect to fail. Look at failure as a lesson. Embrace failure as part of the learning curve.

It took Thomas Edison 10,000 attempts before he was able to invent the electric light. We might still be in the dark if he stopped at 9,999. You need to hang in there. You need to take a chance

But eventually, you will succeed. Here is one of my favorite quotes:

“100% of the shots you never take don’t go in.”

    Hi Brett,

Thank you for your insightful work. I read many of your comments and was really touched by them. I realized how much I wanted to respond and share some feedback after reading one of your comments, the one from Art. I can appreciate where he’s coming from because we all interpret things based on where we are at. But I believe that your Implementation Blueprint can definitely qualify to be a blueprint. Here is one of the definitions from an online dictionary:

“something resembling a blueprint (as in serving as a model or providing guidance); especially: a detailed plan or program of action .”

I know it sized up to that definition for sure.

While listening to your video I had many aha moments about my own business and what steps I need to take next. I’ve been trying to succeed in this internet realm for probably a year now. It’s all I do and I spend every waking hour at it. I’m always learning, doing some action, learning more, doing some more action … but is it the right action? I’ve been stuck so many times, and yes, because the guru is light years ahead of my level. So how do you fill in those gaps and move past them? The main thing I learned is never to camp there in the gap. It won’t ever be a comfort zone, but more like an anxiety zone.

When I get stuck and everything seems way over my head, the worst thing that happens is that nobody is there to answer my questions. These are always specific questions relating to issues that arise while carrying out the necessary actions. Thank God for Google striving for perfection in relevancy because it really does work wonders. But it’s so easy to get in big trouble when looking for answers. Because in this world of way too much information, when we seek we definitely find, yet not without a big price to pay. I usually end up on so many more lists, which is so counter-productive … sometimes I think it should be punishable.

If your community will bring together those who can share and contribute useful information, and address questions and answers regarding real obstacles we all will encounter in this arena, then bring it on Baby. If you can eliminate the process of having to hunt down answers we need now to get past an obstacle, or provide a place where we can ask questions about challenges we have with interpreting results perhaps, or just provide us an effective way to find that so called “flashlight, to direct us to the light at the end of the proverbial tunnel” as Rick put it, then I know you will attract the masses.
We all will thrive on real honest to goodness info about what works and what does not work, without being pitched and without having to pay for the same info we already bought previously. I would love a place to turn to for help with specific roadblocks, and not to search faq’s, but a place to ‘ask and you shall receive’ help from those who walked that path. It will become a place where new partners will meet and new ideas will emerge. It’s a great plan that could benefit all marketers.

Your blueprint is a very good lesson in how to correctly apply goal setting and how to interpret both the positive and negative results of the actions we apply. I know I felt beat with some of the negative results I received. You presented this reality in such a way that now we can thrive on that negative feedback rather than take it to heart, and all you did was change our thinking about the interpretation of it. That’s way cool.

Thank you for providing the info in an inviting way, without an opt in and without an obnoxious rah rah sales page, because like your other readers, I scroll to the bottom to find the price well before the testimonials appear. I can’t stand the typical sales page anymore, and I know I won’t ever use it in my marketing. I believe gurus keep thinking they still work only because their audience is getting more desperate for answers.

I would be willing to share whatever info I have with your community because I’ve come a long hard way in this. I finally just made my first hundred dollars on line. But it was the hardest thing I ever did, and it’s nowhere near smooth sailing yet. I had a mean case of information overload to overcome and I know I can help a few people move forward. I also acquired some of the best tools for the job that many of us will never hear about.

For those readers who mentioned they need to start building their list, there is a great step by step, hand-holding set of videos that really helped me get started with a list. There’s a small fee but the first 3 videos are free and have really great content in them. I included it in the optional website field that you provided, if you feel like showing it to them. The videos are easy to follow and they don’t leave anything out.

to your success … and thanks for your generous contribution to helping an entire generation of people move toward an entrepreneurial lifestyle. We all need it now more than ever, but finding out how to get our share of this internet pie so we can provide for our own retirements … that’s the tricky part. I think this is a great place to start.

    Thank you,
    Gabrielle

The blueprint is great. Nothing we don’t already know. It’s a losing battle when you are fighting against yourself. 2 contradicting ideas locked up together like that — you have to agree with yourself first before you go off and learn about what you already know. It’s all in your head. And it is.

NOW, what I want to know is why did I spend $97 x 2 =$198 for lifetime memberships to the viraltracker program that promises a matrix that builds itself just by running ads, no surfing. It looks like it’s been dormant since the launch 11/14/06 — 2006??? Is that right?

Why is that website and all it’s greatness (and your sales pages WERE very good, they still are) so WHY that website not even mentioned or listed here? Is that one like the red-headed step-child you would rather forget you have? If so, WHY?

I’m not mad at you and I don’t intend to sound mean. I’m just blunt and to the point. Give it right back to me. I’m waiting and like everyone else, I don’t have a lot of time.

    Hello again,

I know you’re probably busy but I don’t think you should be too busy to take this into consideration. I almost feel like your mother telling you this but here goes.

I don’t know where all you gurus rate on a scale of 1 to 100 but with 64 comments here, YOUR blog post is right up there with Marlon Sanders and Michael Fortin and that’s great.

Your readers want to hear from you and so do I. Would it be possible for you to engage your audience even more by leaving your thoughts and answers to questions after each persons entry? FOr example, I still want to know where the Viral Tracker is?

Now? No, not now when there are 64 all at once but maybe as they arrive? You know what they say, If “so and so” can do it so can you!

Now I’m headed over to your newest Lifetime membership of List Building for 3 guaranteed to be worth 10 times more in 30 days or your money back. I Better go get busy, Only 29 days to go! Bye!

    Hi Brett,
Once again a nice concise description of how many people go wrong in their LIVES not JUST Internet Business!!! :-) )

Your explanation of the GAP is true and, again, one which most of us fail to remember!

However, is it not also true that too many ‘Gurus’ in all professions and trades invent new terminology as soon as they realize the hoi palloi’s knowledge is reaching that of those ‘Gurus’? ;-)

I look forward to reading more of your Reports!!!

    HI Brett,

I’ve joined and PROMOTED TP to my list at least twice … and am still awailting the 7,500 ads for joining on that particular day (when your promotion for these ads where on), how do I access those please?

ALSO, I wanted to post how impressed I was with your recent IM Implementation Bluprint VIDEO! Smashing stuff which puts you on the same league – in my eyes at least – as any other IM GUru out there! What I wanted to ask is this: How did you make the video? i.e, which software did you use (go on , put your aff link in … you deserve it) …for the background etc…?

ALSO, HOw in the world where you reading that and still looking naturally straight at the cam??

YOur fan (if you reply that is…lol…only joking…as the BIG gurus don’t have time for that ;-)
    Izzy Joseph
